The Overcomer Project: A Portrait Study of Hope is a new exhibition by photographer Amy Marlan. The project pairs personal storytelling with fine art portraiture:

Art with Purpose: Supporting the mission of Captive Hearts

All proceeds from this event will support Captive Hearts Ministries, a local non-profit dedicated to helping women find refuge, restoration, and hope from trauma and addiction.

About The Artist

Amy Marlan is a professional photographer, creative director, and visual storyteller. After a successful career as an art director shaping narratives for brands and publications, she transitioned to fine art photography. Amy’s twenty years of portrait photography experience shine through in this intimate body of work

Exhibition

The Overcomer Project: A Portrait Study of Hope pairs personal storytelling with fine art portraiture: For this project, Amy met with each participant, listened to their story of overcoming, and created a portrait that visually expresses their journey. The result is a moving collection that speaks to the universal truth that we are all overcoming something and that we all need each other.
