Original oil on canvas painting by Frank Eber, measuring 30 × 30 inches. What reads at first as a sunset is actually the glow of a wildfire seen backlit through a stand of pines — brilliant gold and orange against cool blue smoke and shadow. Eber's confident palette-knife brushwork captures both the drama and the eerie stillness of the scene.
Frank is a Signature member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, and the Transparent Watercolor Society of America. He is also an Artist member of the California Art Club. Frank is also increasingly in demand as a judge and juror. He conducts workshops and demonstrations locally and at the national and international levels. In Frank's own words, "Painting is my meditation, my refuge. It exists in a timeless state–an ego-less zone in which I feel whole, as though life actually makes sense. One day I may be able to paint something of significance."
